Mishustin: It's important to minimize impact of sanctions on Russian economy

MOSCOW. Feb 25 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has spoken about the necessity of minimizing the impact of sanctions on the Russian economy.

"It's important to minimize the impact of restrictions on our economy, so that it continues to develop, the stability of the financial system is maintained, and that means that the programs and projects that we have outlined, including within the framework of achieving the national development goals set by the president, are fully implemented," Mishustin said on Friday at a meeting on the current economic situation.

"When brash political statements are made, the first [...] to react is the financial market, and right now, it's important to follow the situation on this market carefully, so that private and public specialized institutions continue to work at their prior pace and provide our citizens and organizations with all necessary services in this sphere," he said.

"Russia has its own ideas of how to respond to new sanctions," Mishustin said on Moscow's response measures to the sanctions.
