Dissemination of fake information about events associated with the special operation in Ukraine will lead to liability - Russian Prosecutor General's Office
MOSCOW. Feb 25 (Interfax) - The Russian Prosecutor General's Office has warned about liability for the dissemination of fake information on events associated with the Russian special operation to defend the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics.
"Dissemination of fake publicly significant information leads to liability envisaged by Article 13.15 of the Russian Code of Administrative Offences in the form of an administrative fine," the press service for the supervisory agency said.
"If untrue publicly significant information that creates a threat to citizens' life and health, public order and public safety violations, or other unfavorable consequences, the Russian Prosecutor General's Office sends to [Russian telecoms watchdog] Roskomnadzor a demand for extrajudicial blocking of such information," it said.
