Baku favors political settlement of Ukraine situation - Azerbaijani presidential aide

BAKU. Feb 25 (Interfax) - Azerbaijan favors a political and diplomatic settlement of the Ukraine situation, Azerbaijani presidential aide, head of the presidential administration's foreign policy department Hikmet Hajiyev said.

"The events unfolding in Ukraine continue to provoke concern. Azerbaijan stands for a political and diplomatic settlement through dialogue and will present its stance at a special session organized by the OSCE. Azerbaijan is committed to the norms and principles of international law. Our country chairs the Non-Aligned Movement and strongly supports the supremacy of the Bandung principles in international relations and acts from this position," Hajiyev said in an interview with the Azerbaijani state-run television channel AzTV.
