RFU head calls UEFA decision to transfer 2022 Champions League final from St. Petersburg to Paris politicized

MOSCOW. Feb 25 (Interfax) - The Russian Football Union (RFU) does not support the Union of European Football Associations' decision to move the venue of the UEFA 2022 Champions League final from St. Petersburg to Paris, RFU President Alexander Dyukov said.

"We believe that the decision to transfer the venue of the Champions League final stems from political reasons. RFU has always abided by the 'sports without politics' principle and, thus, cannot support this decision," the RFU press service quoted Dyukov as saying.
