Estonian authorities permit Ukrainians to remain in Estonia even after their grounds for stay expire

TALLINN. Feb 25 (Interfax) - Estonia has permitted Ukrainian citizens to remain in its territory even after their grounds for stay in Estonia have expired and has relaxed entry rules for Ukrainians.

"Citizens of Ukraine whose grounds for stay in Estonia expire in the near future can temporarily remain in Estonia. Furthermore, citizens of Ukraine who do not have a biometric passport can enter Estonia without a visa," the police and border guard department said on Friday.

Previously, only Ukrainian citizens with biometric passports were allowed to arrive in Estonia without a visa.
