Mishustin notes importance of bolstering cooperation between EAEU members despite external pressure

MOSCOW. Feb 25 (Interfax) - The deepening of Eurasian integration is particularly important now that Western nations are trying to drive a wedge between Russia and its neighbors, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.

"We are continuing to discuss Eurasian integration priorities and to make decisions essential for the development of trade, economic and humanitarian relations, higher living standards, and prosperity of our people. This is particularly important under the current conditions. Russian President Vladimir Putin has described the situation and has set the tasks for our country. Yet today's meeting is the best proof that we stick together under any circumstances. Together we seek to strengthen cooperation in all areas despite the external pressure and the attempts of Western countries to drive us apart," Mishustin said at a meeting of the Intergovernmental Council of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) on Friday.
