Meta not replying to demand on unblocking Facebook accounts of Russian media outlets - Roskomnadzor
MOSCOW. Feb 25 (Interfax) - The Russian telecommunications watchdog Roskomnadzor (RKN) has demanded from Meta that it lift restrictions from the accounts of four Russian media outlets imposed by Facebook in the past 24 hours, the regulator said in a statement.
"As of the moment the news was published, no official explanations have come from Meta Platform's administration as to the reasons for applying discriminatory measures to the Zvezda television channel, the RIA Novosti news agency, and the Lenta.ru and Gazeta.ru online platforms. The Internet company has not replied to Roskomnadzor's demand that it immediately unblock the censored Russian media outlets," it said.
