U.S. imposes sanctions on VTB executives Soloviev, Puchkov, Sberbank's Vedyakhin

MOSCOW. Feb 25 (Interfax) - The United States Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has included Andrey Puchkov and Yuriy Soloviev, first deputy chairmen of VTB , as well as Aleksandr Vedyakhin, first deputy chairman of Sberbank , in its Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List (SDN), OFAC said in a statement.

OFAC also introduced blocking sanctions against VTB, Otkritie, Sovcombank, and Novikombank, as well as correspondent and payable-through account sanctions against Sberbank, which are not defined as blocking.
