DPR getting military assistance under treaty with Russia - head of republic

MOSCOW. Feb 24 (Interfax) - Russia is providing to the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) assistance envisaged by bilateral treaties, DPR leader Denis Pushilin said on the program 60 Seconds on Rossiya 1 television.

"It is now too early to speak about it [the nature of the military assistance provided by Russia]. However, we are getting assistance. Everything is under the treaty," he said.

The main thing for the DPR now is to break through the Armed Forces of Ukraine's defense in the Donetsk region.

"The main task is to break through the layered defense, then we will speed up the movement towards the constitutional borders," he said.
