Kyiv imposes 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. curfew

KYIV. Feb 24 (Interfax) - Kyiv is imposing a nighttime curfew, during which there will be no public transport, the city's mayor Vitali Klitschko said.

"Starting from today Kyiv is introducing a curfew from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. It is a forced but necessary measure to protect the residents of our capital amid the current military aggression and martial law," Klitschko wrote on his Telegram channel on Thursday evening.

There will no public transport services during the curfew, he said. "At the same time, subway stations will be accessible as shelter round the clock. All Kyiv residents, please be back at home on time. If moving around the city during curfew is absolutely necessary, in particular for shift workers of critical infrastructure enterprises, they must carry personal identification documents," the mayor said.
