Russia cannot be put behind iron curtain - Peskov

MOSCOW. Feb 24 (Interfax) - A country like Russia cannot be put behind an iron curtain. This is absolutely impossible, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday.

"A country like Russia cannot end up behind an iron curtain. Certainly, we might have problems with a number of countries, but this way or another, we've had problems with those countries before, and we've had them without this. But a country such as Russia just cannot be put behind an iron curtain," Peskov told journalists, when asked how the Kremlin assesses the risk of Russia's ending up behind an iron curtain in the wake of the start of the special operation in Donbas.
