Duration of operation in Donbas to be determined by Putin depending on results - Peskov

MOSCOW. Feb 24 (Interfax) - The duration of the special operation in Donbas will be determined by the Russian commander-in-chief, President Vladimir Putin, depending on its results and taking into account the reasonability factor, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

"The timeframes are determined by the results and reasonability, and they will certainly be determined by the commander-in-chief," Peskov told journalists on Thursday.

Asked how far the Russian forces might advance in supporting the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) forces, Peskov replied, "I can't give you any information on military, technical, and other elements of this operation. After all, it's our Defense Ministry, our military, who are the only primary source here."
