Russia not waging war; this is a special operation - Peskov

MOSCOW. Feb 24 (Interfax) - Russia is carrying out a special military operation in Donbas, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

Journalists asked Peskov at a press briefing on Thursday whether Russia was waging a war on Ukraine, following the decision made by President Vladimir Putin.

"This is a special operation, and I do not think I should explain anything, since the president gave a complete explanation in his address to the nation this morning," Peskov said.
