Two civilian cargo vessels come under Ukrainian army's missile strike in Sea of Azov - Russian FSB border dept
KRASNODAR. Feb 24 (Interfax) -Two civilian cargo vessels came under fire from a Ukrainian Armed Forces' missile strike in the Sea of Azov, the Russian Federal Security Service's (FSB) border department for the Krasnodar Territory said.
"At 11:00 a.m., Moscow time, on February 24, 2022, the SGV-Flot and Seraphim Sarovskiy Russian civilian cargo vessels came under fire from a Ukrainian Armed Forces' missile strike in the Sea of Azov. The strike was mounted from the direction of the city of Mariupol. As a result of the strike, the SGV-Flot oil carrying vessel sustained damage. A fire broke out on board, and one of its crewmembers was seriously injured," it said.
The crew has already put out the fire aboard the vessel, and both vessels have resumed their movement, the department said. Patrol motorboats of the Russian FSB's border department for the Krasnodar Territory have been sent to evacuate the injured crewmember and to extend other assistance to the vessels.
