No Belarusian troops in Ukraine - Lukashenko

MINSK. Feb 24 (Interfax) - Belarus might possibly send its forces to Ukraine, but there are no Belarusian troops there now, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said.

"What's most important to us? We won't be making excuses as to whether we are involved in this conflict or not. I'm telling you once again: there are none of our troops there. But if Belarus and Russia need it, they'll be there," Lukashenko said at a conference with the military leadership convened in the wake of the situation in Ukraine on Thursday, a video from which has been published by the First Man's Pool Telegram channel close to the Belarusian presidential press service.

As reported earlier, Lukashenko said at a conference that no Belarusian forces were involved in the Russian special operation in Donbas.
