Truth is on Russia's side in Donbas situation - Putin

MOSCOW. Feb 24 (Interfax) - The truth is on the side of Russia, President Vladimir Putin said in his address to the nation, following the beginning of a special military operation in Donbas.

"The policy of the Empire of Lies, which I've mentioned at the beginning of my address, primary relies on blunt, brute force. We have this saying: all brawn and no brain. Yet you and I know that the real strength comes from truth and justice, and they are on our side," Putin said.

"As this is so, one can hardly argue that strength and readiness to fight are the pillars of independence and sovereignty, in fact, this is the only foundation one can and should build a future upon," he said.
