Ukraine shuts down 1 checkpoint on Belarusian border, others operating normally - Belarusian State Border Committee

MOSCOW. Feb 24 (Interfax) - Ukraine has shut down a checkpoint on the Belarusian border, while the others are operating normally, the Belarusian State Border Committee said on Thursday.

"According to an official notice received by the State Border Committee from Ukraine, the Ukrainian government ordered that the Vilcha checkpoint [Alexandrovka on the Belarusian side] be closed from midnight of February 24 until March 3," the Committee said.

The following motor checkpoints remain open on the Ukrainian border: Mokrany (Lomanove on the Ukrainian side), Komarin (Slavutych), Novaya Guta (Novy Yarylovychy), and Veselovka (Senkovka), it said.

"No concentrations of trucks headed to Ukraine were observed as of 10 a.m.," the Committee said.
