Minsk reaches agreement with Russia on transshipping potash fertilizers, other cargo - Belarusian Foreign Ministry

MINSK. Feb 16 (Interfax) - Belarus has reached a number of agreements with Russia on transshipping potash fertilizers as well as other freight and cargo amid Lithuania's refusal to participate in the export transit of Belarusian potassium chloride, Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei said on Wednesday at a press conference in Minsk.

"There are already a number of agreements [with Russia] on transshipping goods in addition to potash fertilizers through Russian ports, and this work is ongoing. It is clear that this is not a one-day process, and attaining the most efficient and effective results will require some time," Makei said at the press conference.
