CAS clears Russian figure skater Valieva for individual competition at Beijing Games

MOSCOW. Feb 14 (Interfax) - The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has dismissed the applications filed by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the International Skating Union (ISU) in the case of Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva.

"The application has been dismissed," the court said on Monday.

"The panel determined that permitting the provisional suspension to remain lifted was appropriate," it said.

Hence, Valieva has been cleared for individual competitions at the Beijing Games.
