President of Cuba thanks Putin for Russia's humanitarian aid, including in countering Covid-19 - Kremlin
MOSCOW. Jan 24 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has had a telephone call with President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, the Kremlin press service said.
"The parties had a thorough exchange of views on bilateral commercial and economic and investment interaction. The president of Cuba expressed gratitude for humanitarian assistance provided to the republic, including in its fight against the coronavirus infection. Further coordination of the actions of the two countries on the international arena in accordance with the principles of strategic partnership and traditions of friendship and mutual understanding was discussed," the press service said.
The parties reiterated commitment to working closely together to strengthen bilateral relations and agreed to intensify contacts at various levels, it said.
