VSMPO, Barnes Aerospace sign $35-mln contract to supply titanium rolled products
YEKATERINBURG. Jan 24 (Interfax) - PJSC VSMPO-Avisma Corporation and U.S.-based Barnes Aerospace have signed a new contract on supplying titanium rolled products up to 2027, the Russian titanium producer's press service said.
The estimated value of the contract is $35 million.
According to the terms and conditions of the contract, VSMPO-Avisma will continue to supply Barnes Aerospace with a wide range of titanium alloy products for use in manufacturing parts for commercial aircraft.
"The technological capabilities of VSMPO-Avisma, combined with the experience of Barnes Aerospace, open up broad prospects for promoting high-tech products in the aerospace market. It is very important for us to reaffirm and solidify long-term cooperation with our partners during the recovery of the industry," VSMPO-Avisma CEO Dmitry Osipov said.
It is noted that VSMPO-Avisma will provide sales and service support for the contract, including logistics, cutting and delivery, via its sales and distribution networks.
