Union Resolve 2022 exercise to take place on Feb 10-20 - Belarusian Defense Ministry
MOSCOW. Jan 18 (Interfax) - The first stage of a preparedness check of Belarusian and Russian rapid response forces will take place before February 9, while the Union Resolve 2022 exercise will follow on February 10-20, head of the International Military Cooperation Department, Assistant to the Belarusian Defense Minister for International Military Cooperation Oleg Voinov said in Minsk on Tuesday.
"The check will have two stages. The first stage, to take place before February 9, will train deployment and rapid creation of groups of forces (contingents) in endangered sectors, the Belarusian Defense Ministry's press service said.
Protection and defense of strategic state and military sites and airspace protection, including within the framework of the joint regional air defense network of Belarus and Russia will be practiced, and the preparedness and ability of stand-by air defense forces and hardware, including the joint air defense training center, to accomplish missions, using training targets, will be evaluated, the press service said.
"During the second stage of the check, the Union Resolve 2022 joint exercise will be held on February 10-20," it said.
