Indian investors gain access to trading on Moscow Exchange

MOSCOW. Jan 11 (Interfax) - Indian investors now have the opportunity to conduct transactions on the markets of the Moscow Exchange , the exchange said in a press release.

Sova Capital, as an individual clearing member of the Moscow Exchange, in partnership with India INX Global Access, a subsidiary of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), provides Indian investors with access to trading in shares, bonds, currency pairs, futures and options.

The India International Exchange (India INX), a subsidiary of the BSE, and the India INX Global Access platform regulate Indian investors' access to global markets.

Investors from all major regions globally are active on the exchange markets, and their share is especially large in the stock market and the derivatives market, Igor Marich, Moscow Exchange Executive Board Member and Managing Director for Sales and Business Development, was quoted as saying in the press release.

"The Indian market is actively developing, and over 80 million investors have access to the BSE. Just like in Russia, the Indian market is in high demand for global assets that allow diversifying investments, and we are very pleased that the instruments traded on the Moscow Exchange have become available to Indian investors. This should contribute to the inflow of new liquidity to the exchange markets, growth in the volume of client operations, and an increase in the attractiveness of the Russian exchange market," Marich said.
