Kremlin views Zelensky's latest statement on Crimea as direct threat to Russia

MOSCOW. Dec 2 (Interfax) - The latest statements of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Crimea's return are a direct threat to Russia; this means that Kyiv is ready to claim the Russian region by force, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"Of course, we analyze the statements made by President Zelensky. Take, for instance, the comment made on Russian affairs yesterday. For example, Zelensky said in parliament that Crimea's return should be the primary objective and philosophy of Ukraine," Peskov said.

"I mean, we actually view this as the making of a direct threat to Russia," he said.

"The statement means that the Kyiv regime intends to use all available instruments, including force, to claim the Russian region," Peskov said.

"This is how we are inclined to view this," he said.
