Putin welcomes involvement of Europeans in Armenia-Azerbaijan dialogue

MOSCOW. Nov 26 (Interfax) - Russia welcomes involvement of European partners in a dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"I know that you have a meeting planned in Brussels soon, and we also welcome this. The more opportunities for direct communication, the better," Putin said at a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Sochi on Friday.

Putin said he recently spoke on the matter with President of the European Council Charles Michel.

"He is looking forward to meeting you, and I hope we'll make some step forward, and further steps on other platforms could be made as well. We only welcome involvement of partners in this dialogue, as long as it serves well," Putin said.
