Severstal delivers trial shipment of large-diameter pipes to Italy

ST. PETERSBURG. Nov 22 (Interfax) - Severstal's Izhora Pipe Mill has delivered a trial shipment of large-diameter pipes of LDP to Italy, the Russian steel company's press office said.

The X52/L360ME/S355J2H steel pipes were supplied to D'Amore & Lunardi S.p.A. for oil and gas projects in Italy. The products have undergone triple certification, which will significantly increase the range of applications possible for these pipes, Severstal said. The pipes were delivered by road transport.

"Severstal has extensive experience in supplying large diameter pipes to Europe and is constantly expanding its supply geography. The delivery of LDP to D'Amore & Lunardi S.p.A. will introduce Severstal's products to Italian clients, and we will continue to expand our presence on the Italian market. European customers appreciate our on-time delivery of LDP and the advanced, customer-oriented service that we are constantly improving," said Maxim Starikov, Deputy Director of Sales to the Energy sector for Severstal's export markets.

The company did not say what volume of pipes it had delivered.
