Novatek plans to start drilling new well on Lebanon's shelf in early 2022 - Lavrov

MOSCOW. Nov 22 (Interfax) - Novatek plans to start drilling a new well on the Lebanese shelf early next year, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Monday at a press conference with his Lebanese counterpart.

"In terms of oil and gas production, our Russian companies are working, in particular, Novatek, which is engaged in the exploration and production of hydrocarbons, and currently plans to drill another well on the shelf [in Lebanon] at the beginning of next year," Lavrov said at the press conference.
