Azerbaijan, Armenia cease hostilities after talks with Shoigu - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. Nov 16 (Interfax) - Azerbaijan and Armenia have ceased hostilities near the border following the phone talks held by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Tuesday.

"At present, the hostilities in the area of Mount Kilisali have ceased, and the situation has normalized and is under control," the Defense Ministry said in a statement.

"Following telephone conversations with the Azerbaijani and Armenian defense ministers held at the initiative of Russian Defense Minister Gen. of the Army Sergei Shoigu, the Azerbaijani and Armenian sides have taken measures to stabilize the situation," the ministry said.
