Russian Helicopters to produce over 1,100 helicopters in 2021-2025 - holding head

MOSCOW. Nov 8 (Interfax) - The Russian Helicopters holding will produce over 1,100 helicopters in 2021-2025, head of Russian Helicopters Andrei Boginsky said.

"We are planning to enlarge our key indicators within the next five years. We aim to manufacture over 1,100 helicopters and sell them on domestic and foreign markets in 2021-2025. The share of civilian products will exceed 50% as early as 2023," Boginsky said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday.

Over the past five years, the holding has produced 865 helicopters with gas turbine engines and supplied them on domestic and foreign markets, Boginsky said.

"In my opinion, we currently hold a worthy second position [in the world] in terms of helicopter production and sales," he said.

The holding is capable of manufacturing about 360 helicopters per year, Boginsky said.
