Inter RAO plans to establish new subsidiaries to operate in foreign electricity markets

SOCHI. Oct 28 (Interfax) - PJSC Inter RAO plans to establish new subsidiaries for operation in foreign electricity markets, Alexandra Panina, a member of the Russian diversified energy holding's management board, told reporters.

"What is our scheme? Since there are many countries, we have a practice that has justified itself well, and we plan to develop it going forward in perhaps other areas, to establish subsidiaries in the respective countries and operate through them. So that they would already be seeking consumers in the region, because we are not enough for everybody," Panina said.

"The geography of our supplies is expanding. We are actively starting to operations in Poland's market," Panina said, adding that Inter RAO already has rather many subsidiaries that operate in various areas.

According to the Kommersant publication with reference to the Kazakhstan Energy Ministry, local Samruk Energy is discussing the creation of a joint venture with Inter RAO.
