Putin supports introduction of paid non-working days in Russia from Oct 30 to Nov 7

MOSCOW. Oct 20 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin supports the idea of introducing paid non-working days from October 30 to November 7 in order to contain the spread of coronavirus.

"It is especially important now to flatten the spike in the new wave of the epidemic. In this regard, bearing in mind the current situation, I undoubtedly support your proposal, dear colleagues, to introduce nationwide non-working days, keeping workers' pay, in the period from October 30 to November 7 inclusively," Putin said at a meeting with government officials.
