Kremlin says Putin has not reached decisions on gas exports by Rosneft, this still under discussion

MOSCOW. Oct 14 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has not reached decisions regarding gas exports by Rosneft , Dmitry Peskov, the president's spokesman, told reporters.

The CEOs of Rosneft and BP, Igor Sechin and Bernard Looney, discussed the prospects for developing cooperation, including the possibility of gas supplies to Europe under an export contract between the companies, at a meeting held during Russian Energy Week, the Russian oil company said.

Asked whether a decision regarding gas exports had been reached, Peskov said: "No, I know nothing about this. I'm not aware of any decisions having been reached in this regard."

He also said there was no fixed timeframe for resolving this issue.

"The issue is under discussion, as you know. Sechin has raised this issue with the president. The government will be looking at it, but the president has not reached any decisions," Peskov said, adding that he had not heard of any decisions being made at government level either.
