Russian companies investing in climate projects shouldn't be subjected to unlawful sanctions - Lavrov

MOSCOW. Oct 8 (Interfax) - Russian companies planning to invest in climate projects in Europe should not be subjected to unlawful unilateral restrictions, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

"There are upcoming climate projects that could be joined by Russian and foreign companies," Lavrov said at a meeting with members of the Association of European Businesses in Russia on Friday.

"Clearly, economic actors investing in climate projects, the green economy in general, and the areas prioritized by everyone, including our Western partners, should have free access to international financial instruments and shouldn't be subjected to unlawful unilateral restrictions," Lavrov said.

Russia and Europe "have very broad space for establishing cooperation in the field of hydrogen fuel," he said.
