Sputnik V developer hopes WHO approves vaccine before yearend

NOVOSIBIRSK. Oct 5 (Interfax) - Vladimir Gushchin, head of the Gamaleya Center's laboratory for mechanisms of the population variability of pathogenic microorganisms, hopes that the World Health Organization (WHO) will approve the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine within the next two or three months.

"I believe the WHO will approve the vaccine after all by the end of this year," Gushchin said at the OpenBio 2021 forum in the Koltsovo Science Town in the Novosibirsk region on Tuesday.
