Second round of Russian-U.S. strategic stability talks quite constructive, progress on some issues reached - Deputy FM

MOSCOW. Sept 30 (Interfax) - During the Russian-U.S. strategic stability talks, some progress was made on certain issues, the second round of these consultations can be considered quite constructive, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said following the talks.

"We continued to discuss the entire range of issues related to strategic stability and arms control in its strategic part. We have made some progress on certain aspects, even if this aspect concerns mainly the organization of further work, but, nevertheless, it is also important," Ryabkov told reporters on Thursday.

When asked about whether the consultations can be considered constructive enough, the diplomat said: "Yes."

"We have a clearer idea of what tasks the American side would like to resolve during the forthcoming further dialogue and its continuation," Ryabkov said.
