United Russia Party leading in State Duma elections with 49.82% of vote after 100% of ballots counted - CEC data

MOSCOW. Sept 21 (Interfax) - With 100% of the ballots counted, the United Russia Party is leading in the State Duma elections with 49.82% of the vote, according to data shown on the information display on the website of the Russian Central Elections Commission (CEC).

The Communist Party of Russia has received 18.93% of the vote, the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia 7.55%, and A Just Russia-Patriots-For Truth 7.46% of the vote, according to the CEC data.

The current results indicate that the New People party, which has received 5.32% of the vote, will also enter the State Duma.

A tally of 100% of the ballots cast in single-member districts shows that United Russia is leading in 198 such constituencies, the Communist Party of Russia in nine, candidates from A Just Russia-Patriots-For Truth are in the lead in eight single-member districts, the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia in two, while the Party of Growth, Civic Platform and the Rodina party are leading in one single-member district each. The Yabloko party and New People have not won any State Duma seats in single-member districts. Five self-nominees will receive parliamentary seats as well.
