Rusagro starts selling mayo in China through JD.com

MOSCOW. Sept 15 (Interfax) - Rusagro Group has begun selling mayonnaise through its Rusagro food store on Chinese marketplace JD.com, the Russian agrifood company reported.

Products are shipped from Rusagro's warehouse in the Chinese city of Suzhou.

The store currently offers two SKUs of the Rusagro mayonnaise brand Ya Lublyu Gotovit: Moskovsky Provansal Classic 67% and Moskovsky Provansal Olive 67%.

Rusagro said it plans to continue to expand its range of products on the Chinese market. The company announced the opening of the store for Rusagro oil and fat products on JD.com earlier in September.

Rusagro has also signed a contract with Shanghai Hema Internet of Things Co. Ltd. to supply sunflower oil to Chinese retail chain Hema, which is owned by Alibaba Group. The products will be sold throughout China through the Hema App.

Rusagro Group is a major producer of sugar, pork, sunflower oil, mayonnaise and margarine. The group's revenue jumped 45% to 104.4 billion rubles in the first half of 2021, with the oil and fat business generating 61.6 billion rubles of this.
