Russia, Myanmar to boost strategic military partnership - defense ministry
MOSCOW. Sept 3 (Interfax) - Russia and Myanmar will strengthen their military and military-technical cooperation, the Russian Defense Ministry stated after Deputy Defense Minister Col. Gen. Alexander Fomin met with Deputy Chairman of the State Administration Council of Myanmar, Soe Win, in Moscow on Friday.
"The two sides rated positively the dynamically developing mutually beneficial relationship in the military area and confirmed their aspiration to use the existing potential with utmost efficiency to deepen military and military-technical cooperation in the spirit of strategic partnership," the statement said.
"The meeting passed in the traditionally friendly atmosphere and confirmed the mutual resolve to consistently increase the wide-ranging cooperation between the defense ministries of the two countries," it said.
