Putin proposes expanding 'Sakhalin experiment' to regulate CO2 emissions to other Russian regions
MOSCOW. Sept 3 (Interfax) - The experiment to regulate CO2 emissions that is currently underway in Sakhalin should be expanded to other regions of Russia, President Vladimir Putin said during a plenary session at the Eastern Economic Forum 2021.
"I propose to think about expanding the experiment on reducing greenhouse gas emissions to other regions of the Russian Federation. Some of them are showing interest," Putin said.
