Russians win 11 medals at Tokyo Paralympics on Thurs

MOSCOW. Aug 26 (Interfax) - Russian athletes won three gold, four silver, and four bronze medals at the Tokyo Paralympics on Thursday.

The gold medalists are cyclist Mikhail Astashov in the 3,000m individual pursuit, swimmer Andrei Kalina in the 100m breaststroke event, and wheelchair fencer Alexander Kuzyukov in the epee individual category B event.

The silver medalists are swimmers Andrei Granichka in the 200m individual medley and Artyom Isayev in the 100m breaststroke event, as well as wheelchair fencers Maxim Shaburov in the men's epee individual category A event and Viktoria Boykova in the women's epee individual category B event.

Bronze medals were won by swimmers Roman Zhdanov in the 100m freestyle event, Dmitry Bartasinsky in the 100m breaststroke event, Vladimir Sotnikov in the 100m backstroke event, and Adelina Razetdinova in the 100m breaststroke event.

Russia's team is ranked third with six gold, five silver, and six bronze medals.

China leads the medal standing with eight gold, five silver, and ten bronze medals, followed by the United Kingdom with six gold, seven silver, and three bronze medals.
