Roscosmos CEO Rogozin to invite Musk, Branson, and Bezos to launch of Soyuz MS-19 spacecraft from Baikonur

MOSCOW. Aug 25 (Interfax) - Roscosmos CEO Dmitry Rogozin will invite billionaires Elon Musk, Richard Branson, and Jeff Bezos to the launch of the Soyuz MS-19 spacecraft.

"Today, I am sending invitations to Mr. Elon Musk, whom we respect in Russia. Of course, we would also like to invite Mr. Branson, Mr. Bezos. If this wonderful trio of space enthusiasts visits Baikonur at the time of the launch of our project and our spacecraft, it seems to me that this will emphasize the fact that space is a unique environment where unique people meet, and who, despite all the problems that exist between countries, after all find the opportunity to be together," Rogozin was quoted as saying on the website of Channel One.

Soyuz MS-19 is due to be launched on October 5. It will carry to the International Space Station the film crew of the Vyzov (Challenge) movie, consisting of director Klim Shipenko and actress Yulia Peresild, and the spaceship's commander, cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov. They will be making the first feature film in space.
