Russians win 5 medals at Olympics on Wed

MOSCOW. July 28 (Interfax) - Russian athletes won three silver and two bronze medals on Wednesday.

Swimmers Martin Malyutin, Ivan Girev, Evgeny Rylov, and Mikhail Dovgalyuk won silver medals after finishing second in the men's 4x200m freestyle relay. The women's and men's 3x3 basketball teams also won silver after losing to the United States and Latvia, respectively, in the finals.

Judoka Madina Taimazova won a bronze medal in the women's 70kg event, and artistic gymnast Nikita Nagorny won bronze in the men's artistic individual all-around event.

Russia currently has 23 medals, including seven gold, ten silver, and six bronze medals. The team holds fourth place in the medal count.

The top three teams are Japan (13 gold, four silver, and five bronze medals), China (12 gold, six silver, and nine bronze), and the United States (11 gold, 11 silver, and nine bronze).
