Gazprom Neft puts Tazovskoye field with potential to produce 1.7 mln tonnes oil, 8 bcm gas on stream
ST. PETERSBURG. June 16 (Interfax) - Gazprom Neft has put the Tazovskoye oil and gas condensate field with the potential to produce 1.7 million tonnes of oil and 8 billion cubic meters of gas per year commercially on stream in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, an Interfax correspondent reports from the launch ceremony.
Gazprom Neft CEO Alexander Dyukov, Deputy Russian Prime Minister Alexander Novak, Far East and Arctic Development Minister Alexei Chekunov and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District Governor Dmitry Artyukhov attended the launch ceremony, which was held online.
Gazprom Neft is the field's integrated infrastructure complex into operation, starting the development of the Tazovskoye field's oil rim. The infrastructure includes oil and gas wells, a gas turbine power plant, oil and gas treatment units, oil and gas pipelines, acceptance point, and a residential complex for employees.
Earlier reports said planned hydrocarbons production was 3.3 million tonnes oil equivalent in 2021, peaking at 8 million toe in 2024.
Tazovskoye is in the first group of fields eligible for development under excess profit tax regulations. In-place reserves are estimated at 419 million tonnes oil and 225 bcm gas.
The Tazovsky cluster is Russia's first oil and gas production complex to go into operation amid Covid-19 restrictions which hampered delivery of cargo, and admission of contractors and shift workers to the site.
