Criminal case opened after student attacks teacher in Russia's Perm Territory

PERM. May 21 (Interfax) - A criminal case has been opened, and investigators are working to establish the circumstances of a student attacking a teacher in Berezniki, Perm Territory, the territorial branch of the Russian Investigative Committee said in a statement on its website on Friday.

"A 16-year-old student stabbed a teacher with a knife at a school in Berezniki, Perm Territory on May 21, 2021. The injured woman has been admitted to the hospital," the statement said.

A criminal case has been opened on counts of attempted murder.

The attacker has been detained.
