Putin invites Poland to address problems in relations with pragmatism, respect for mutual interests

MOSCOW. May 18 (Interfax) - Russia favors constructive dialogue with Poland, and the two countries can resolve the complicated problems in their bilateral relations with pragmatism and by taking each other's interests into consideration, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"Russian-Polish ties could certainly be more substantive and productive, especially considering that we are neighbors in the Baltic Sea region. The complicated issues that have accumulated in our bilateral relations can certainly be resolved if we act based on pragmatism and consideration for each other's interests," Putin said while accepting credentials from a number of newly-arrived foreign ambassadors on Tuesday.

"We favor precisely this constructive approach," he said.
