Azerbaijan records lowest number of daily cases of Covid-19 so far this year
BAKU. April 22 (Interfax) - Medics in Azerbaijan have diagnosed 2,047 people with Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, putting the total number of confirmed cases at 307,098, the national operational headquarters said on Thursday.
Yesterday 2,075 new infections were reported.
In the past 24 hours 39 coronavirus patients died (the lowest since the beginning of 2021); in total, 4,274 have died in Azerbaijan.
There were 2,610 recoveries in the past 24 hours; in total, 272, 575 patients have recovered.
Currently, 31,131 patients are receiving treatment and quarantining, the headquarters said.
Additionally, 12,542 tests were carried out in the past 24 hours (12,679 on the previous day); in total, 3,153,877 Covid-19 tests have been done nationwide since the pandemic began.
