Eastern Economic Forum to be held in Vladivostok September 2-4 - Roscongress
VLADIVOSTOK. March 12 (Interfax) - The sixth Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) is scheduled for September 2-4, 2021, at the Far Eastern Federal University campus on Russky Island in Vladivostok, Roscongress said in a statement posted on its website on Friday.
"I am certain that the forum will increase its investment component this year, and it should also become important in terms of developing face-to-face contacts by taking into account the experience of interaction within Asian countries in the fight against the Covid-19 infection," the adviser to Russia's president and responsible secretary of the EEF Organizing Committee, Anton Kobyakov, was quoted as saying in the statement.
Kobyakov said that, "the forum will be organized at the highest level, following the recommendations of Russia's Federal Service for the Oversight of Consumer Protection and Welfare (Rospotrebnadzor) and the World Health Organization regarding the application of mandatory preventive measures required to prevent the spread of a new coronavirus infection."
As previously reported, the sixth Eastern Economic Forum scheduled for September 2020 was reportedly canceled.
