MOSCOW. Feb 24 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 11,749 new Covid-19 cases and 383 deaths in the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Wednesday.

"Over the past day, 11,749 Covid-19 cases were confirmed in 85 regions of Russia, including 1,246 asymptomatic cases identified proactively (10.6%)," the headquarters said.

As of this date, Russia has registered a total of 4,200,902 cases of Covid-19 (0.3%), including 84,430 deaths, including 383 in the past 24 hours, and 3,751,562 recoveries, including 12,218 in the past 24 hours.

The Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor) said on Wednesday that Russia had performed more than 202.3 million Covid-19 diagnostic tests to date, including 374,000 over the past day. As many as 585,091 people remain under medical observation.
