Moscow City Court turns down lawyers' appeal to release Navalny consistent with ECHR ruling
MOSCOW. Feb 20 (Interfax) - The Moscow City Court has turned down an appeal from the defense of opposition activist Alexei Navalny for his release from custody consistent with a European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) judgement.
The Moscow City Court made the decision on Saturday, as it had processed the lawyers' appeal against the ruling of the lower-tier court that replaced Navalny's suspended sentence with real jail time, an Interfax correspondent reported.
