Russia's FAS intends to review deal regarding Yandex.Taxi's purchase of Vezet's assets - regulator
MOSCOW. Feb 3 (Interfax) - Russia's Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) intends to review the deal of the Yandex.Taxi group of companies regarding the purchase of the call centers and business for booking cargo and freight transportation of the Vezet Group in order to approve the deal with the department as well as to check for any violations of competition in the market, the FAS said in a statement.
"Russia's FAS intends to verify the information regarding the purchase by Yandex.Taxi of part of the assets of the Vezet Group for compliance with the requirements of antimonopoly legislation and the requirement for its approval with the department," the FAS said in the statement.
The FAS in the statement also refers to publications in the media, without specifying whether the companies have notified the regulator of their plans.
